Your Role in the Future: Environment

Artists, creators of aesthetic things, have a crucial role to play (right now!) in ensuring that our species has a future – preferably a future worth living. A future worth living is contingent on reducing carbon emissions; most effectively by leaving coal in the ground and developing energy alternatives. To that end artists, working together, can ‘step-up’ as aesthetic communicators to collaborate with climate scientists, Indigenous leaders and scholars in the humanities and social sciences. For example: hand crafted ceramic bowls, collaboratively conceived and beautifully created for drinking fresh water with due reverence, would do very nicely circulating in the world.
