Transformations in Clay: A study of beauty through biomorphic forms

Cj Jilek will demonstrate how she achieves objects that are inspired by our natural surroundings while drawing parallels between the human form and forms in flora. Participants will experience each intricate stage of making from slip casting to assembling. Cj will show how she alters the slip cast components to reflect the hand of the maker and create convincing surfaces that entice viewers to explore the finished objects.
